Every kid deserves a fresh start to the school year.

We partner with local businesses to fill over 2,500 backpacks with brand-new notebooks, sharpened pencils and other fun supplies. Then, we distribute the filled backpacks to schools, shelters and non-profits throughout Fairfax County and surrounding areas!

It’s never too early to get ready for school!

While children are chasing fireflies, our supporters are already hard at work getting ready for back-to-school. Each year, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department helps collect thousands of backpacks, coats and toys on our behalf. These items are delivered to at-risk kids at several area schools as part of our annual distribution.
